We did it. Last night, September 1st, we finally took our last bow, marking the end of our residency and the longest run of shows we have ever attempted. Looking back to when we started on May 24, 2024, it feels like a lifetime ago.
For 76 nights, we performed back-to-back concerts, 5 shows a week for nearly 4 months straight, and it was a truly incredible journey. To be honest, as I sit here writing this, I feel exhausted, but I also feel a deep sense of accomplishment. We pushed ourselves further than we ever have before, and the energy from the crowd at the Mission Point Theater on Mackinac Island kept us going every single night.
I owe a massive debt of gratitude to the people who made this marathon possible. First, to my incredible band; Dylan, Steven, Jesse, Joe, and Jennifer, thank you for your talent and your stamina. A huge thank you goes to our lighting director, Adam, and my longtime engineer and friend, Kevin, for making us look and sound our best night after night.
Beyond the stage, there was an entire army of people who kept this residency running smoothly. I want to thank the supporting crew, including the folks in the box office, the bartenders, and the ushers. I also want to send a special thank you to the cleaners who were there every single morning to ensure the theater was spotless for the next crowd. Thank you to everyone at the Mission Point Theater for hosting us for this record-breaking run. We’ll take it easier on the haze next time…
We are already dreaming about the future. We cannot wait to return next year to make the residency even more grandiose and successful than this one. But for now, it is time for some much-needed rest before we gear up to head back out on our fall tour later this year.
